What Happens When I Downgrade?

Learn when a MarketingStride downgrade takes effect, what stays the same until then, and whether a refund or credit is issued.

When you downgrade your MarketingStride plan, the downgrade is scheduled for the end of your current billing cycle.

Until then, you keep your current plan and allowances.

When does a downgrade take effect?

Downgrades do not take effect immediately.

They are scheduled for the end of your current billing cycle.

What stays the same until then?

Until the downgrade takes effect, you keep your current:

  • Plan access
  • Audit and rescan capacity
  • Current-cycle allowances
  • Plan-specific capabilities tied to your current subscription

The scheduled downgrade should remain visible in Account until it takes effect.

Will I get a refund or credit if I downgrade?

No. No prorated refund or account credit is issued for the current billing cycle when you schedule a downgrade.

What changes after the downgrade takes effect?

After the downgrade takes effect, your account follows the access and usage rules of the lower plan going forward.

That may affect future:

  • Available capabilities
  • Audit and rescan capacity
  • Reporting or export access
  • Generated-output access
  • Plan-specific workflows

Can I cancel a scheduled downgrade?

If Account shows a supported cancel-scheduled-change action, you can use that product flow before the downgrade takes effect.

If that action is not available in Account, do not assume it is supported.
