What Happens When I Upgrade?
Learn when a MarketingStride upgrade takes effect, how proration works, and what changes during your current billing cycle.
When you upgrade your MarketingStride plan, your upgrade takes effect after today's payment succeeds.
You'll be charged the prorated difference for the rest of your current billing cycle, and your next renewal will use the full price of your new plan on your existing renewal date.
When does an upgrade take effect?
Upgrades take effect immediately after payment succeeds.
If payment does not succeed, your upgrade does not take effect.
How does billing work for an upgrade?
When you upgrade, MarketingStride charges the prorated difference between your current plan and your new plan for the remaining time in your current billing cycle.
Your billing anchor stays the same. Your next renewal still happens on your existing renewal date.
At that next renewal, you are charged the full renewal price for your new plan.
What changes during the current billing cycle?
Depending on the plan you move to, an upgrade may give you access to:
- More audit capacity
- More rescan capacity
- Broader website-level evaluation
- Expansion Audit workflows
- Additional reporting and continuity features
The current billing cycle does not restart just because you upgraded.
How do allowances work when I upgrade?
When an upgrade takes effect during the current billing cycle, the new plan's current-cycle limits apply immediately.
Already-used allowance of the same type counts against the new plan's current-cycle limit.
Newly unlocked allowance types become available immediately.
Historical usage is not reset, and upgrading does not create duplicate allowance for the same billing cycle.
What does not change when I upgrade?
Upgrading does not change:
- The underlying evaluation methodology
- How MarketingStride interprets content
- How completed results are tied to your account
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I lose my previous results if I upgrade?
No. Your previous results remain associated with your account according to your plan and retention settings.
Do I need to rerun completed work just because I upgraded?
Not necessarily. If previously generated eligible artifacts become available under your new access, you should not need to regenerate them solely because your plan changed.
