4. What MarketingStride Does

MarketingStride evaluates how AI systems interpret website content.

The platform analyzes:

  • Publicly accessible website content
  • Content intentionally submitted by a customer for evaluation

MarketingStride does not:

  • Edit customer websites
  • Publish changes to customer websites
  • Rewrite customer content
  • Invent facts
  • Generate unsupported claims

Instead, MarketingStride evaluates existing content and may generate implementation artifacts derived from that content, such as reports, question-and-answer suggestions, structured data guidance, or other supported outputs.

5. Ownership of Content

Your content remains yours.

Customers retain ownership of:

  • Submitted content
  • Website information
  • Audit history
  • Reports
  • Generated customer artifacts

MarketingStride retains ownership of:

  • The MarketingStride platform
  • Software
  • Algorithms
  • Product documentation
  • Trademarks
  • Proprietary technology used to provide the service

Operational Information

MarketingStride also maintains limited operational information used to support the platform and investigate technical issues.

Examples include:

  • Replay payloads

  • Intermediate processing artifacts
  • Temporary operational data used for troubleshooting

These operational records exist to operate and maintain the service. They are distinct from customer-visible reports and audit history.

7. Information We Do Not Need

For routine customer support, MarketingStride does not require:

  • Your password
  • Complete payment card numbers
  • Private API keys
  • Stripe secret keys
  • Browser cookies
  • Authentication tokens

Our support team should never ask you to provide this information during a normal support request.

8. How We Use Information

MarketingStride uses information to operate and improve the service you request.

Examples include:

  • Creating and securing customer accounts
  • Authenticating users
  • Associating properties with the correct account
  • Evaluating publicly accessible or customer-submitted website content
  • Producing findings, reports, comparisons, and generated artifacts
  • Maintaining historical continuity between analyses
  • Supporting subscriptions, invoices, and payment-related account functions
  • Responding to customer support requests
  • Investigating technical, billing, and delivery issues
  • Meeting legal, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and security obligations where required

MarketingStride evaluates information to provide its services. It does not use customer information to make unsupported claims about business performance, rankings, or future outcomes.

Data Minimization and Purpose Limitation

MarketingStride is designed to collect, use, and retain only the information reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, support, and improve the service, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain required business records.

Where practical, MarketingStride uses internal identifiers, account references, property identifiers, and analysis run identifiers rather than unnecessarily duplicating personal information.

We do not collect personal information simply because it may become useful in the future.

9. Analysis History and Generated Artifacts

MarketingStride distinguishes between several types of information created during an evaluation.

Customer Analysis History

This includes information such as:

  • Audit runs
  • Findings
  • Scores
  • Baselines
  • Comparisons
  • Historical analysis records

Generated Artifacts

Generated artifacts include customer-requested outputs such as:

  • Downloadable reports
  • JSON exports
  • Generated implementation artifacts
  • Other downloadable deliverables

Operational Artifacts

Operational artifacts support platform reliability and troubleshooting.

Examples include:

  • Replay payloads
  • Diagnostic records
  • Intermediate processing information

Generated artifacts may be removed before the underlying analysis history if the historical analysis remains available and the artifact can be regenerated.

For this reason, MarketingStride does not guarantee that every previously downloaded file will remain permanently available, even when the underlying analysis history is still retained.

10. Payment Processing

MarketingStride uses Stripe to process payments and manage subscription billing.

Where available, MarketingStride uses Stripe-hosted billing functionality for:

  • Payment processing
  • Customer billing information
  • Invoices
  • Billing portal access

MarketingStride's verified application implementation does not store complete payment card numbers as part of its billing workflow.

11. Customer Support and Communications

Customer Support and Communications

MarketingStride communicates with customers for different purposes, and not all communications are treated the same.

Service and Transactional Communications

Service and transactional communications include messages necessary to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Verify your identity
  • Process purchases
  • Deliver reports and generated artifacts
  • Notify you when analyses are complete
  • Respond to support requests
  • Communicate important service information
  • Maintain the security and operation of the platform

These communications are considered part of providing the service and are not promotional in nature.

Relationship Communications

Relationship communications include information related to your ongoing use of MarketingStride, such as:

  • Billing updates
  • Subscription information
  • Account notices
  • Onboarding assistance
  • Service-related educational guidance
  • Other communications that help you use and manage your account

Marketing Communications

Marketing communications may include:

  • Product announcements
  • Newsletters
  • Educational resources
  • Feature updates
  • Promotional communications

Where required by applicable law, you may opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting your ability to receive communications necessary to operate, maintain, secure, or support your account.

12. How We Use AI

MarketingStride uses AI technologies to evaluate how AI systems interpret website content and, where applicable, generate implementation artifacts based on that analysis.

MarketingStride does not use AI to rewrite your website, publish changes on your behalf, or invent facts about your business.

Generated outputs are derived from your existing content and are intended to help you understand how AI systems may interpret or use that content.

MarketingStride is designed to evaluate existing information rather than create new claims or marketing content.

13. AI Training and Customer Content

MarketingStride does not position its service as a customer-content training platform.

Customer content is used to:

  • Evaluate AI interpretation
  • Produce analysis results
  • Generate customer-requested implementation artifacts where available

MarketingStride does not use customer content to create unsupported claims or unrelated customer-facing content.

As our platform and service providers evolve, this section may be updated to reflect verified processing practices.

14. Service Providers

MarketingStride works with carefully selected third-party providers that help us operate the service.

Depending on the services you use, providers may support functions such as:

  • Hosting and infrastructure
  • Authentication
  • Database services
  • Payment processing
  • Transactional email
  • Customer communications
  • Operational monitoring

Current provider categories include services supporting:

  • Application hosting
  • Authentication
  • Database management
  • Subscription billing
  • Email delivery
  • Operational monitoring

  • Cloudflare Turnstile for account-access abuse prevention
  • Better Stack for uptime and operational monitoring

MarketingStride may update these providers over time as our platform evolves.

Where appropriate, providers process information on MarketingStride's behalf to deliver the services you request.

15. Sharing Information

Sharing Information

MarketingStride does not sell customer data.

MarketingStride does not share customer data with advertising networks, data brokers, or other organizations for their own independent marketing or commercial purposes.

MarketingStride may share information only with approved service providers that process information on MarketingStride's behalf to operate, maintain, secure, and support the service. These providers act under contractual obligations appropriate to the services they perform.

MarketingStride may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or operation of MarketingStride, our customers, or others.

International Data Transfers

MarketingStride may process or store information in countries other than the country where it was originally collected.

Where applicable, MarketingStride will implement appropriate contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards designed to protect personal information and comply with applicable privacy requirements.

MarketingStride does not rely on international transfer mechanisms or certifications that have not been verified or approved for publication.

16. Data Retention

MarketingStride retains different categories of information for different periods of time.

Our goal is to preserve useful customer history while avoiding unnecessary long-term retention of information.

Active Accounts

As long as your account remains active, your analytical history generally remains available.

Expiration-based retention schedules do not begin while your subscription remains active.

If You Cancel Renewal

If you cancel automatic renewal, your subscription remains active through the end of the paid billing period.

Retention periods begin only after your subscription expires.

After a Subscription Expires

Following subscription expiration:

  • Customer analytical history is retained for 18 months
  • Generated artifacts are retained for 6 months
  • Operational artifacts are retained for 6 months

Generated artifacts may be removed before the underlying analytical history if that history remains available and the artifact can be regenerated.

Discovery Purchases

Discovery is a one-time purchase rather than an ongoing subscription.

If a Discovery customer does not purchase a qualifying subscription or other eligible commercial product, Discovery information is retained for 90 days after purchase.

If a qualifying product is purchased before that retention period expires, the Discovery history becomes part of the customer's ongoing account history and follows the applicable subscription retention schedule.

Financial Records

Financial and accounting records are generally retained for 7 years, or longer where required by law.

Legal and Security Exceptions

In limited circumstances, MarketingStride may retain certain information beyond the standard retention period when necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Meet regulatory requirements
  • Prevent fraud
  • Investigate security issues
  • Fulfill contractual obligations

Where possible, only the minimum information necessary for those purposes will be retained.

17. Account Deletion

Customers may request permanent deletion of:

  • Account information
  • Property information
  • Audit history
  • Reports
  • Associated retained customer information

Deletion requests may be submitted through available account features where implemented or by contacting MarketingStride Support.

Our goal is to process verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless legal, regulatory, contractual, or security obligations require additional retention.

Once deletion has been completed, deleted analytical history, reports, baselines, comparisons, and related customer information cannot be recovered.

18. Privacy Requests

Customers may contact MarketingStride regarding privacy-related questions or requests by emailing:

privacy@marketingstride.com

or

support@marketingstride.com

Depending on applicable law, customers may be able to request:

  • Access to personal information
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of eligible information
  • Export of certain customer information
  • Other applicable privacy requests

For your security, we may request information necessary to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

Please note that product exports, such as downloadable reports or JSON exports, are not the same as a complete privacy portability request.

19. Security

MarketingStride is designed to protect customer information using technical and operational safeguards appropriate for the services we provide.

Examples include:

  • Authenticated account access
  • Access controls for customer results and exports
  • Provider-backed payment processing
  • Operational procedures intended to reduce unnecessary exposure of sensitive information

MarketingStride also maintains support practices that discourage the collection of unnecessary sensitive information.

For example, our support team should not request:

  • Passwords
  • Complete payment card numbers
  • Private authentication tokens
  • Secret API keys

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

While MarketingStride works to protect customer information, we cannot guarantee that any system or transmission is completely secure.

20. Cookies and Authentication

MarketingStride uses cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate the application.

These technologies help support functions such as:

  • User authentication
  • Session continuity
  • Secure access to your account

Essential cookies are required for normal operation of the application.

If additional analytics or marketing technologies are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

21. Children's Privacy

Children's Privacy

MarketingStride is designed for business and professional use and is not intended for children.

MarketingStride does not knowingly collect personal information from children or intentionally provide services to individuals who are below the minimum age required under applicable law.

If MarketingStride becomes aware that personal information has been collected from a child in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy, we will take appropriate steps to remove that information.

22. Business Changes

If MarketingStride undergoes a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and this Privacy Policy.

23. Changes to This Privacy Policy

MarketingStride may update this Privacy Policy as our services, legal obligations, or privacy practices evolve.

When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy and provide appropriate notice consistent with the nature of the change and applicable legal requirements.
