Why Is My Report Taking Longer Than Expected?

Learn why some MarketingStride reports take longer to prepare and how you will know when your report is ready.

Some reports are available almost immediately. Others take longer because they include more detail.

Quick answer

If a report takes longer to prepare, you do not need to stay on the report page and wait.

You can continue working in MarketingStride. When the downloadable report is ready, MarketingStride will notify you.

Why some reports take longer

A report can take longer when it includes:

  • page-level findings;
  • before-and-after comparisons;
  • generated outputs;
  • key point inventory details;
  • multiple pages from a website evaluation or rescan.

MarketingStride prepares the report from the specific evaluation record. That helps make sure the downloaded report reflects the result you asked for, rather than substituting a different report.

What you can do while the report prepares

You can keep reviewing your workspace, open other results, or leave the page.

If the report is still being prepared, MarketingStride should keep the report request tied to the original evaluation and tell you when the downloadable version is ready.

If a report never becomes available

A report may remain unavailable if the evaluation is still running, the report type is not available for that result, or the exact report artifact could not be found.

When that happens, MarketingStride should not send you to a different evaluation just to show something else.
